June 19, 2009 For Immediate Release FIGURE 5 PRODUCTIONS ATTENDS SBA HEALTHCARE REFORM ROUNDTABLE WITH HHS SECRETARY SEBELIUS June 19, 2009 – Wayne, NJ – Figure 5 Productions was one of the select companies invited to attend today’s special Small Business Administration sponsored roundtable with Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius. F3 Engineering, a woman and minority owned manufacturing company was chosen as the site for this meeting at its Paterson facility. Karen Gordon Mills, the SBA administrator, chaired the panel discussing vital healthcare issues especially relating to the women and minority owned small business owners in attendance. The purpose of the meeting was to create discussion on the local level and reach out for comments. James Kosci, the New Jersey District Director of the SBA in Newark coordinated the meeting. Attending on behalf of Figure 5 was Mariana Pagliere, President and Jilayne Murty, Vice President, Client Services. Secretary Sebelius outlined the issues of the day the Obama administration is currently tackling and the immediacy for revising the healthcare dilemma in this country. She also stated that this includes Medicare that is on track to be bankrupt in approximately seven years. Panel members related their personal experiences and the importance of health care to their families. Five women business owners took advantage of the open discussion to express their individual thoughts. “Figure 5 could not say no to this quickly received invitation and rearranged its schedule to be there.
